Outdoor play and adventure at Bristol Zoo Project!

Leap of Faith

Bookings for Leap of Faith are now open for weekends and school holidays!

Leap of Faith is a thrilling outdoor climbing adventure, and fantastic fun for all. The breathtaking experience includes the Giant Swing, the bear climbing wall, a high wire ladder and its namesake, the 'Leap of Faith' jump – the ultimate test of your nerves!

You don’t have to be a Bristol Zoo Project visitor to enjoy Leap of Faith. We recommend booking your Leap of Faith ticket in advance, but visitors to Bristol Zoo Project can buy tickets on the day of their visit at Visitor Information. Timed ticketing slots apply.

The course is open during school holidays, weekends and bank holidays. It is suitable for children aged four and over and adults.

Read our FAQs and Course Rules.

Fun Fort

Climb up the scramble net, run across the scatter bridge, slide down the fireman’s pole and take on the climbing wall at the Fun Fort! Our undercover kids' play area is the perfect place for little ones to burn off some energy come rain or shine, and there's lots of seating for grown ups.

Barefoot Trail

Kick off your shoes and socks on the Barefoot Trail - feel the textures of pebbles, bark, mud and more beneath your feet! The Barefoot Trail is kindly sponsored by Tockington Manor School and Nursery.

Butterfly Maze

Let the children explore the wild hedge butterfly maze or time them to see who reaches the middle first.

Outdoor play

Across Bristol Zoo Project you'll also discover lots of outdoor wild play areas including Congo Bongo, and woodland play areas including a giant bird's nest in Bear Wood.

Wild outdoors

With acres of space in Bristol Zoo Project, there’s plenty of woodland, a meadow and nature to explore. Thanks to your support and our conservation team, our site is home to many native species, from birds and bats to newts, rare butterflies and deer! Why not see how many you can spot?

Tower Meadow is the perfect place for picnics, with lots of room for kids to run around. In the centre is Hollywood Tower, built in 1839 by Edward Dent who designed the famous 'Big Ben' clock tower.
